Who is Ben Bos Gyldenvang ?

​

Ben Bos started diving as a 12 year old boy. And never let the sport go. He became a proffesional in 1999. Now more than 25 years later diving is a way of life, having worked all over the world and ran a divecenter for over 12 years, and now as the CEO  for one of the world's most progressive Scuba Organizations Unified Team Diving, UTD Scuba Diving, Ben has made diving not only his passion but also his living and has contributed to some of the industry's most groundbreaking innovations. The re-development and evolution of Ratio Deco into Ratio Deco 3.0, the development of course materials for training on the JJ and SF2 rebreathers, as well as the DIR compatible Side Mount configurations, are but three examples.

When exploring unknown places, deep in the Chinese jungle, abandoned mines or inside old shipwrecks is when Ben is in his happy place. But the thrill of teaching both novice and experienced divers is what drives him to never stop learning and expanding his own knowledge.

Trying to keep himself in peak shape, he trains rigorously for triathlons, believing that keeping in shape is the way to extend the time he has to explore and stay strong.

He is married to a Danish wife and together they have 2 girls.

Originally born in Amsterdam, he now lives in Denmark and travels around the world to teach.
